In a well-attended paid webinar which was held on the 2nd of October, 2021, I hosted participants at the first edition of the monthly webinars Administrators and Managers Hangout. Every month, I choose a topic to teach on to equip administrators, managers and entrepreneurs to function effectively on their roles. In this edition with the title 'Employee Performance Management', I focused on addressing the issues of managing employee performance in organisations especially in our schools and adequately equipping the managers and administrators to effectively manage the performance of the employees under their supervision.    At the webinar, I taught on what performance management really is and what it is not. I shared on my five-step approach to managing the performance of employees, and gave the participants things they should avoid when managing the performance of employees. I taught the participants on how to set performance objectives for each employee--- actually for every cadre or category of staff. And very importantly, I shared samples of already prepared performance objectives for various categories of staff. I also taught the parameters for evaluating employee performance and shared my customised evaluation templates for various job roles/positions.
