MANAGING YOUR EMPLOYEES DURING THE PANDEMIC
I really hope your week is off to a great start.
I have received calls from concerned employees who do not know what to expect from their employers at this crucial time of the pandemic. This has left them in a suspense and is affecting them psychologically in a very negative manner.
As administrators, we are required to provide clarity and a sense of direction to the people we lead. It helps them build trust in us and to make their contribution at this point. And this is a period when you need to be vulnerable and lay the cards on the table. Tell them the true situation of thing.
Ask for their input and recommendations. let hem know if there is no money to pay salaries, and see what the options are.
Will there be a salary slash? For how long?
Will the staff members receive half or a third of their salaries?
Will they need to drastically go without a salary for about two or three months.
It's tough on you as an administrator or an employer, but clarity is really needed this period.
To help yo navigate this, I have uploaded a video on my You Tube Channel. Please watch it, and make your comments on the post on You Tube, so that others may also learn from you.
