On the 1st of August, I took a webinar session where I shared tips on what school administrators should do to keep our students safe while they learn online.

The fact is, we cannot wish away online learning. And I doubt that we will be returning to a strictly brick and mortar school even when schools all over the world are eventually reopened. That means virtual teaching and learning has come to stay.

So, we have a rsponsibility to ensure our students stay safe from cyber bullying, predators, grooming, sexting and hacking, amongst other vices that abound in the cyber space.

We howver, cannot play this role successfully if we are not adequately informed about the dangers pupils and students can be exposed to online as they learn.
