Our client, Brixtonn Schools in Asokoro, Abuja is in need of a Store Keeper and an Accountant.
The candidates for either position must have at least three years experience in Store Management and Accounts Management respectively.
A degree in Accounting is required for the School Accountant position.
Storekeeper Requirements and Qualifications
- Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management
- Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in store record keeping
- Analytical mind with ability to make accurate mathematical computations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competencies in data entry, analysis, and management
- Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time
- Skills to operate common office equipment
- Minimum of an OND (Ordinary National Diploma) or its equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or recordkeeping
- Physical ability to frequently lift and carry materials purchased for the school
SCHOOL ACCOUNTANT REQUIREMENTS
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss, internal management reports and cash flow statements
- Assisting in the preparation of year end statutory accounts
- Managing the general ledger including overseeing the monthly balance sheet, banking and reconciliations
- Ensuring Accounting standards and policies are adhered to
- Liaison with external Auditors, Bank Managers and Tax specialists
- Proactively identify new initiatives that could benefit the organisation.
- Training and mentoring stafff on financial procedures
- Advising the manageemntment on ficnanical matters
- Financial forecasting and risk analysis
- Ensuring parents pay fees promptly
- Preparing budgets and ensuring they are adhered to
- Enforcing a no-cash policy in the school
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of HND/BSc/ Masters qualifications in Accounting or Financial Management
- Professional Qualifications/Training or Membership of Accounting Bodies is required e.g ICAN, ACCA e.t.c..
- Minimum of 4 to 7 years of work experience in Accounting or as a Financial Manager
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Strong negotiator who can develop ongoing working relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform data and statistical analysis to spot trends and anomalies
