Just recently, I started a series of videos on the subject of Performance Management and this is the second video in the series. The first video was an introduction tilted "Let's Talk About Performance Management''.
There are several reasons you you should have an effective performance management.
Firstly, it serves as a reerence of what is expected of the staff for their performance. Without expectations, no one would be sure or know what to do.
It also lets the staff know they have support in their managers while achieving thier goals.
Additionally, it enables you put in place a proper reward and recognition programme for the staff. Believe me when I say people love to be rewarded and recognised for their efforts and results. And they want to be sure you're doing it appropraitely, and not rewarding the wrong people. Or else, it may lead to a high staff turn over from disgruntled staff.
