Our client, a Nigerian-British earlyyears and primary school located in Calabar, is currently recruiting a skilled Head
of School and teachers into the following roles. Available vacancies and their
requirements are stated as follows:
1. English Language Teacher
Requirements:
A degree in English or LiteraryStudies, English Education or relateddegree or an NCE
At least two years’ experience ofteaching English Language in in astandard school
A visible love for children
Tech savvy
Should be ableto:
* Teach pupils how to readeffectively
* Motivate and stimulate a child'slearning ability and provide pastoral care and support to children within a
secure learning environment
* Assist with the development of achild's personal, social, language and physical coordination abilities
* Develop and produce visual aids andteaching resources
* Help children develop curiosity andknowledge
* Work with other staff amicably(emotional intelligence and team spirit)
Start Date: October 2022
2. MathematicsTeacher (for Primary School)
Must have a first degree in Mathematics,Statistics, or Maths Education or a similar subject
At least two years’ experience of teaching Mathematicsin as standard school
Tech savvy/ability to use technology to teach
Emotional intelligence
Incredibly good spoken and written comminationskills
Knowledge of the psychology of primary schoolstudents
Encourage mathematical andcreative development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play
* Help children develop curiosity andknowledge
* Work with other staff amicably(emotional intelligence and team spirit)
3. Creative Art Teacher
Candidates should have a flair for anda e degree or NCE in Fine or Applied Art.
Should be able to ignite a love forthe art in the children and encourage them to have hands-on activities and
projects
At least two years’ experience ofteaching Art in a standard school
4. VocationalStudies Teacher
The candidate should have a degree orNCE in a related field
Two years’ experience of teachingvocational subjects in a standard school
* Help children develop curiosity andknowledge
* Work with other staff amicably(emotional intelligence and team spirit)
5. Head of School
The candidate should have a first degreepreferably in Education
At least two years’ experience ofworking in a similar role
People management skills
Customer service oriented
Lifelong learner with a passion to seethe implementation of best practices
Tech savvy with a 21st century approach to school leadership, learning and teaching
